Wherever you are based, you’ll enjoy two talks on games careers led by Games Careers Week co-founder Rick Gibson and TV presenter Erica Webber which includes speakers from another Games Careers Week co-founder IntoGames, developers from Codemasters, Mediatonic and Triangular Pixels, a BAFTA Young Games Designer finalist, recruiters from Electric Square and Third Kind Games, and one of the co-founders of NextGen Skills Academy, Marcia Deakin.
The first talk is for young people of school age featuring advice on where to start and what skills are used in games development.
The second focuses on what it’s like to work in games, how young developers got started, the many different pathways into games careers and what recruiters are looking for.
